Thank you for your piece on these men and the opportunity to hear their stories in your words. I’m still going to tell their stories in my words, too, but not until they visit me this summer and I have them captive to interview.
John Baca, William “Monsoon” Mimiaga, And Greg “Reno” Young (pictured in the story) personify the very traits I so revere in our Vietnam Veterans. They became heroes to my family and families like mine well after their battlefield heroics earned them their honors.
