BLM Outraged Over the Anointment of Kamala, Demand Open Primary

It’s unlikely that anyone had “agreed with BLM” on our 2024 BINGO cards, and yet…

Black Lives Matter, the Marxist group that played a significant role in the 2020 riots and other violence, is suddenly disenchanted with the Party that elevated it. In a surprising announcement on X and other media outlets, BLM turned on Kamala Harris and the Democrat Party. 

Apparently, BLM does not care that Kamals herself helped launch bail fundraising that freed many of its own violent rioters, or that BLM riots were sanctioned and even lauded under Democrats’ rule. Instead, it is demanding that the Democrats hold an open Primary. 

 "Following the primary where millions of black voters weighed in, after one poor debate performance, the DNC Party elites and billionaire donors bullied Joe Biden out of the race," BLM said in a statement to Reuters.

BLM's objection marks the first significant internal challenge to Harris's 2024 nomination.

"We call for the Rules Committee to create a process that allows for public participation in the nomination process, not just a nomination by party delegates," BLM stated.

It seems the Democrats, often touted as the "party of democracy," have not convinced BLM of their intentions.

"The current political landscape is unprecedented, with President Biden stepping aside in a manner never seen before. This moment calls for decisive action to protect the integrity of our democracy and the voices of black voters," the statement said.

BLM criticized party leaders for what it perceived as a coup against Biden.

"Now, Democratic Party elites and billionaire donors are attempting to manipulate black voters by anointing Kamala Harris and an unknown vice president as the new Democratic ticket without a primary vote by the public," the statement continued.

The group also dismissed the notion that race and gender should override other considerations.

"We have no idea where Kamala Harris stands on the issues, now that she has assumed Joe Biden’s place, and we have no idea of the record of her potential vice president because we don’t even know who it is yet," BLM pointed out.

The post on X read, in part,” “A 24-hour process of talking to party bosses is not democratic, nor is it a process Democrats should be proud of. We do not live in a dictatorship. Delegates are not oligarchs.

Installing Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee and an unknown vice president without any public voting process would make the modern Democratic Party a party of hypocrites.”

Will BLM now host “peaceful protests” against the Democrats? 

New Hampshire Governor Enacts New Laws on Transgender Policies for Minors

New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu has enacted a law imposing some limits on sex-change surgeries for minors and another that restricts female athletic competitions to biological girls in specified grades.

“As the debate over these bills has played out in Concord and throughout the state, charged political statements have muddled the conversation and distracted from the two primary factors that any parent must consider: safety and fairness for their children,” Sununu stated.

“These two factors have been my primary consideration in reviewing these bills,” the governor added.

Sununu also vetoed a separate bill concerning transgender policies on access to bathrooms and locker rooms. The vetoed bill would have prevented biological males from entering female facilities. 

House Bill 619, set to take effect on January 1, 2025, forbids medical professionals from performing “genital gender reassignment surgery” on anyone under 18. This prohibition covers both internal and external gender transition surgeries. For boys, this includes the removal of genitals and surgeries to create a female appearance, while for girls, it includes the removal of ovaries or other surgeries to create a male appearance.

“This bill focuses on protecting the health and safety of New Hampshire’s children and has earned bipartisan support,” Sununu said. “There is a reason that countries across the world—from Sweden to Norway, France, and the United Kingdom—have taken steps to pause these procedures and policies.”

New Hampshire's restrictions are not as extensive as those in several other Republican-led states. The law still permits other transgender surgeries, such as breast removal in girls and the addition of prosthetic breasts in boys. Additionally, doctors may continue to prescribe puberty-blocking drugs and hormone therapy for minors undergoing gender transition.

Enforcement of the ban on genital surgery will be through licensing agencies, and minors or their parents may sue doctors who perform the prohibited procedures.

House Bill 1205 stipulates that only biological girls can participate in female sports competitions from grades 5 through 12. This law does not affect lower grades or college sports. It requires sports competitions for these grades to be classified as “male,” “female,” or “coed.” Only biological males can join “male” competitions, only biological females can join “female” competitions, and both can participate in “coed” competitions.

“[This legislation] ensures fairness and safety in women’s sports by maintaining the integrity and competitive balance in athletic competitions,” Sununu said. “With this widely supported step, New Hampshire joins nearly half of all U.S. states in taking this measure.”

Students who lose athletic opportunities due to violations of this law, or who face retaliation for reporting such violations, will have the right to sue the school for damages.

This bill will become effective 30 days after the governor's signature.
