What is Really in the SCOTUS Immunity Decision That Has Liberals Freaking Out?

SCOTUS Immunity Decision

From the amount of hyperventilating and outrage yesterday, you’d think the Supreme Court announced that the DOJ can no longer prosecute Trump for nothing other than political purposes.

Oh, wait - it pretty much did.

Now that the Left has had its new favorite toy- the DOJ- taken away, it is having its predictable tantrum. This time, in addition to the familiar accusations against the “far right, radical Supreme Court,” the Left is warning all the world that America has just emboldened Trump to be the dictator he really is.

The sheer hypocrisy of every word out of their mouths would be laughable if this country had not been raped and pillaged the way it has in the last three years.

The Huffington Post quoted an “authoritarianism expert” saying that the ruling is “an autocrat’s fantasy” before going on to say "It's why Trump admires Xi Jinping and [Vladimir] Putin and all those autocrats because that’s his fantasy because he is so corrupt.”

All the other Leftist media shared similar sentiments, and anyone who scrolled social media saw a buffet of Liberal outrage.

But few, if any, people, actually took the time to read the decision themselves. This goes for everyone, not just the Left.

Before anyone celebrates a win or screams about a loss based only on what other people are saying about this decision, all of us would be better served by reading the actual words of the Supreme Court.

You don’t even have to go further than the first page to see this:

“Under our constitutional structure of separated powers, the nature of Presidential power entitles a former President to absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for actions within his conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority. And he is entitled to at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for all his official acts. There is no immunity for unofficial acts.

By the end of that paragraph, all the hyperventilating should stop. Every former president still breathing can rest assured he will not be prosecuted for any of the egregious abuses of power he conducted in an “official” capacity. Bush doesn’t have to worry about his WMD lies, for instance.

And nothing is said about limiting Congressional impeachment powers, so we still have that.

Meantime, unofficial acts are still subject to prosecution.

On page 6, the Supreme Court remands one decision, regarding immunity for Trump’s alleged attempt to sway Pence into rejecting the certification, back to the District Court to determine if that charge “would pose any dangers of intrusion on the authority and functions of the Executive Branch.”

And on it goes.

It’s interesting, really- historic, even.

You can read this decision in the same amount of time you spend scrolling online today.

Less, for some of you.

Stop trusting the media and people’s social media posts to inform you, and start informing yourself.

Florida Judge Releases Epstein Transcripts, Ignites Firestorm

A Florida judge has made public previously sealed grand jury transcripts from Jeffrey Epstein's 2006 prosecution.

These documents allegedly reveal that prosecutors were aware of Epstein's sexual abuse of teenage girls two years before they offered him a lenient plea deal in 2008.

They are said to contain about 200 pages, including the testimony of at least one girl who was molested.

The transcripts reveal a fourteen-year-old victim was placed on the stand. The prosecutor asked this victim if she was aware that she had committed a crime, herself.

This bullying of young victims, coupled with other graphic details of the case, has sparked renewed interest and discussion on social media.

This release follows legislation signed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, aimed at increasing transparency in such cases.

The revelations have prompted public scrutiny of the legal handling of Epstein's case and the broader implications of his crimes.
