Upgrade Your Thinking And Your Failure

Upgrade Your Thinking And Your Failure

If you learn to harness the power of positive thoughts, you’ll attract more positive circumstances in your life.

It’s about becoming the energy that you want to attract. In other words, you have to start thinking about what you want and who you want to be.

Think positively and you will call positive things to you.

If you have a cynical, insecure, or pessimistic worldview, your negativity will be a self-inflicted, self-fulfilling prophecy. Like attracts like.

Do you have big goals you long to achieve?

Do you feel like you’re behind schedule?

Do you think you’re not good enough?

Are you fearful to get started?

Maybe you’ve been conditioned to believe that success is reserved for a chosen few?

The truth is anyone can achieve great success in their lives. But not everyone is willing to commit to achieving it.

The ones that do understand the power of positive thought.

They are consistently thinking about what they want. They are writing it down daily. They visualize it, they taste it, they see it, and most importantly they believe it.

So start focusing on what you want and who want to be and start taking the necessary actions to put yourself on the path to becoming just that. The people that harness this “law of attraction” are the ones that achieve the greatest success.

So where do you start? How do upgrade your thinking? I believe it starts with three things.

Never give up.

Grit, perseverance, and passion for long-term goals, is the best predictor for success.

“If you really look closely, most overnight successes took a long time.”  – Steve Jobs

No one who quits a goal achieves a Goal. So ask yourself.  “What could I really accomplish if I never quit on my Goals?” As Winston Churchill put it,  “Never give up on something that you can’t go a day without thinking about.”

Be consistent.

Successful people are just people with successful habits. When you’re chasing a goal or your dreams, your biggest enemy will always be self-sabotage and complacency.

You’ll have days, week or months where you’re not moving the ball forward and this usually happens from poor habits.

So if you’re going to upgrade your thinking you might as well improve your daily habits along with it. Daily progress starts with small consistent productive habits. Focus on getting 1% better every day.

I recommend picking up the book The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy. It’s a great book on how daily habits and small wins can lead to big results.

Embrace Failure.

Failure is normal and it’s the how we learn. So it’s safe to say the more we fail the more we’ll learn and get better right? So fail often and always fail forward.

Most people fear failure. It’s why they don’t follow through on those daily habits, it’s why they stop taking the actions necessary to succeed. It’s why people quit.

These folks are more concerned about the fear of failing and the short-term pain that comes with it instead of staying focused on the long-term reward, learning from those failures, embracing it and pushing on.

Losers quit when they fail.  And Winners fail until they succeed.

People who embrace failure learn how to win by failing, they are the ones who enjoy the most success.

Here’s a story that proves this point…

At age 65 this man retired from being a cook. He felt like a failure and decided to commit suicide. He sat writing his will, but instead, he wrote what he could have accomplished with his life and thought about how good of a cook he was.

So instead of taking his own life he borrowed $87 fried up some chicken using his recipe, went door to door to sell. He went across the country introducing his recipe to restaurants across the country.

One by one they slammed the door in his face. He was turned down one-thousand and nine times before his chicken was accepted once!

By 1964, Colonel Sanders had 600 franchises selling his trademark chicken. At this time, he sold his company for $2 million dollars. In 1976, the Colonel was ranked as the world’s second most recognizable celebrity.

All that after failing one thousand and nine times. He started at the age of 65 when most would retire or quit.

Successful people fail more because they don’t give up and will keep at for as long as it takes to succeed.

Are you committed to your goals and success like that? Try new things, learn new things, and never give up because failure is the tuition you pay to become the master of your life.
